I feel like time is just standing
Like I'm moving but heading no where
The purpose to myself right now is flying in the air
I'm trying to catch it, but it keeps slipping from my hand
They say all you need is love
Which I still haven't found in a person
So I search for it in my life of fulfillment
Which feels like I haven't even started yet
I sit here stuck thinking about all of the things I could be doing
They say all you need is success and education
But without love and adventure how can I feel happy and successful
Is it all about being at the right place, at the right time?
Am I just lost until I get found?
Not knowing if what I am doing has any purpose?

I'm broke, out of shape, lost and confused
Last year I was everything but.
But I am getting by, thinking about a bigger picture
Filled with people, places, money and happiness
I want to feel love within me
Love for what I am doing
Love for the person I am with
Life is a roller coaster of ups and downs
I want the excitement of going up, the rush of going down
And the craze of the loops
But I'm still waiting in line.
